Corporate sponsorship

As a corporate and community leader in the Rochester area you are aware of the great number of requests from not for profits for financial support.  While we too are asking for your support, we are asking for a very different kind of support.  On May 18, we are holding a rappelling event down the side of the First Federal Building.  To participate, donors contribute $1,000 or get $1,000 or more worth of pledges and then rappel 309 feet (21 stories) down the side of the building. Over the Edge, a company from Nova Scotia, will conduct the rappelling and training according to OSHA standards.

We ask you to consider participating at one of several levels.  First we have media sponsorship level that would make your company highly visible at this event.  If you feel that your company cannot take on a media sponsorship, we invite your employees to take the challenge to rappel. We believe that as well as helping the urban programs of the Boy Scouts, this can be a great team building event for your employees.

The funds raised in this event will support our urban scouting programs.  Over 40 afterschool programs as well as cooperative programs with local churches enable us to provide services to 22% of the urban youth in Rochester.  With your help we can continue to extend these programs to even more youth.  Please join us in this unique event.
